I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
Romans 8:18
Do you ever feel like each day is dragging on forever? All you want is some rest, a full night's sleep, and a bit of "me time." This scripture offers three important messages that can give you hope and assurance that you'll experience complete happiness once again and for God’s glory.
Message 1: The word "present" is a key component of this scripture because it reminds us that God knows exactly what we're going through in the present moment. Your struggles are temporary, and they will eventually become a thing of the past.
Message 2: Once you know that your suffering will pass, the scripture goes on to assure you that you will experience joy and happiness once again, so great that you can't even compare it to your current feelings of anxiety and depression. This message should give you hope and motivation to get through the difficult times.
Message 3: The final message in this scripture is surprising and inspiring. Not only will you experience glory, but that glory will be revealed through you. God doesn't just want you to go back to your old life; he wants you to be a part of the transformation from suffering to glory. This should give you a sense of purpose and drive to overcome your current challenges.
In conclusion, this scripture offers three messages that can provide comfort and hope during times of suffering. Right now, all you want to do is go back to your normal life. But, God does not want us to go back to our normal. He adds an inspiring highlight that we are actually going to be part of the transformation from suffering to glory. Glory will not only be given to us, it will be revealed through us.
Prayer
Father God,
In my present suffering, I ask for your strength so that Your glory can be revealed through me. I lean on You and believe in the support and resources that You will provide. When I am able to rest, I ask the Holy Spirit to help me fully surrender my thoughts so that I may rest and recover from each day. I love you Father.
Amen.
